A real high street workplace in which any young person can find out who they are before the world decides what they're worth
732,000 young people qualified their way into unemployment last year. Not because the pathway failed. Because qualifications were only ever part of the answer.
The part that's missing isn't a skill. It isn't experience. It's self-knowledge - the capacity to know what you're capable of, what you value, and where you belong, before the world decides that for you.
For students
Come in unsure of what you're capable of and where you belong. Leave with a documented work record, a professional reference, a network and the self-knowledge and courage to step into the workplace of the future.
NWC is both a high street store selling upcycled lost property and deadstock and a third space, run by the young people learning inside it.
Ten weeks. Two days a week. Real work, real stakes, real outcomes - and the space to find out who they are while they're doing it.
And when the programme ends, they do not leave - NWC stays with them, as a community, a workspace, a network, and a record of what they have built.
NWC gives them the courage to take on the future.
For universities
124 hours of guided learning for your students within a real live business. Measurable outcomes, reportable evidence, and a permanent third space that serves your cohort long after the programme ends.
For employers
A talent pipeline built on real capability, not polished applications. Young people who have already proved themselves to be workplace ready in a commercial environment, before they reach your door.
